The ACTJRU is trialling a Summer 7 Rugby Competition in 2024 starting 2 February and will run for 8 weeks.    

WHEN:

Every Friday night from 5pm and run until 8.30pm.  The first game starts on 2 February (before school resumes) and will finish on Friday 22 March. 

LOCATION AND TIMES:

Location for games will be Downer ovals or Griffith ovals for the first 7 rounds. 

The last round is TBA.

Due to the matches being short, each team will play two games per round.  Players will need to be at the ground for approximately 1 hour.  Each match will go for 16.5 minutes comprising 2 x 7 minute halves with 2.5 minutes half time. 

COMPETITION DATES:          

Week 1 – 2nd February

Week 2 – 9th February

Week 3 – 16th February

Week 4 – 23rd February

Week 5 – 1st March

Week 6 – 8th March

Week 7 – 15th March

Week 8 – 22nd March – Final week with Trophy presentation 

UNIFORM:

All players are to wear their Marist rugby shirt and shorts (TBC).
